NAGOYA, Jan. 23 (Kyodo) - Kin Narita, one of Japan's eldest twin sisters, died of heart failure at her home in Nagoya Sunday morning, her family said. She was 107.

Kin-san, as she was popularly known in Japan, was born Aug. 1, 1892, and, together with her twin sister Gin Kanie, had gone through the vicissitudes of the Japanese eras of Meiji, Taisho, Showa and the current Heisei.

Kin-san gave birth to 11 children and had as many grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Kin-san and Kanie, who is known as Gin-san, have become household names, and faces, having appeared on numerous television shows and in commercials since around 1991. ''Kin'' in Japanese means gold and ''gin'' silver. "
